The Celebrant

Is a celebrancy career for you?

According to the celebrancy institute, the person looking for a celebrancy career has an interest in ceremony and ritual, public speaking, has excellent writing and organizational skills and is committed to creating personalized ceremonies for people from all sorts of backgrounds, beliefs and value systems.

In creating a personalized ceremony, it is the aim of the celebrant to help clients create a ceremony that meets their particular needs as they see it.

To achieve this purpose, students of the institute find their inspiration in the history of rituals and traditions around the world.

The authors who provide the foundations for the study of ceremonies and rituals, include, among others, RITES OF PASSAGE by Arnold van Gennep, SACRED DYING by Megory Anderson, THE CONSCIOUS BRIDE by Sheryl Nissinen.
